Students’ Scholarship Contest – SSC

In order to motivate students to learn about the Free Open Source Software technology, our sponsor Anova launches its school contest for the second season.

The contest winners earn a free of charge LPI Linux Essentials training course, while other challengers get up to 50% DISCOUNT on the same course.

The cooperation with Schools’ administrations determines the number of assigned scholarships per school.

How it goes?

An introduction session is organized to present the FOSS BUZZ Campaign, highlight its missions and explain the contest calendar and admission procedures.

To be eligible to join the SSC, all subscribers must attend an orientation session which prepares them to pass the contest.

The cooperation with Schools’ administrations determines the number of assigned scholarships per school.

The contest consists of:
  • A short research memo about Open Source productions, standards, applications in software and hardware, and other uses.
  • A time limited quiz reflecting student’s knowledge about‬ FOSS (Free Open Source Software) and Linux.
By the end of the course:
  • All attendees receive a certificate of attendance,
  • A FOSS BUZZ Ambassador will be nominated to represent the FOSS BUZZ Campaign in his school.

It’s important to know that this scholarship does not cover the LPI Linux Essentials official exams fees.
